How to Split PDF Every 5 Pages

  1. 1

    Add your long PDF

Load the document you want to split into regular intervals.

  2. 2

    Set the interval to 5

Choose 'split every N pages' and enter 5. A 20-page PDF becomes four 5-page files.

  3. 3

    Download the batch

All chunks download as a zip file with sequential naming: part-1.pdf through part-N.pdf.

Regular-Interval Splitting

Splitting at fixed intervals works well for documents with repeating structure. A catalog with 5 products per page spread. Meeting minutes where each meeting takes roughly 5 pages. Student assignments where each submission is a fixed length.

The last chunk contains whatever's left over. If your document is 23 pages and you split every 5, you get four 5-page files and one 3-page file. The tool doesn't pad with blank pages.

You can change the interval to any number — 5 is just common. Split every 1 page for individual files, every 10 for chapters, every 50 for manageable sections of a massive document. The tool adapts to whatever number you enter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I split at different intervals, like 3 then 5 then 7?

For irregular splits, use the page range option instead and enter specific ranges like 1-3, 4-8, 9-15. Fixed interval mode uses the same number throughout.

My document has 100 pages. How many files will I get?

Exactly 20 files, each containing 5 pages. If the page count isn't evenly divisible, the last file has fewer pages.

Can I change the output file names?

Files are named part-1.pdf, part-2.pdf, etc. by default. Renaming needs to be done after download — the tool doesn't currently support custom naming.
